In addition to being Carla's webmistress, Laura is president of the board of directors of the California Dreamin Organization, which puts on the California Dreamin Transgender conference every April.
Laura is also a past vice-president of TransGender San Francisco. She was the producer of TGSF's 2005 Cotillion, “Back to the Eighties,” and the 2006 Cotillion, “Hooray for Hollywood!” She also chaired TGSF's San Francisco Pride Parade committee in 2004 and 2005.
Laura is the recipient of several awards from the TG community, including California Dreamin's Joan Goodnight Award, TGSF's Joanna Caron Memorial Award for Excellence and the 2004 Pamster Award.
